Due dates

The original due date was Oct. 5. After the first sonogram, they said October 3.

No baby yet

Three days until the due date. Laura is doing well. Her mom came up last night.
We have another doctor's appointment Monday at 11:45 to check progress. Hopefully it will be the last one!

NO BABY YET!

Week 37

From here on out there are weekly doctor visits. We got to do one last sonogram to check the position of the baby. He was just where he needed to be: head down, and measuring at 6 pounds, 10 onces. The doctor was happy with everything.

July 30 appointment and class

We went to the doctor on Monday for the usual checkup. The heart rate was 146, and everything checked out as normal.
The next visit is scheduled for Aug 20.

Even more fun was the evening class on breastfeeding. We talked about all sorts of ways to breastfeed, how to hold the baby, and when to do it.

I think I was there for moral support.

Two more classes to go. They are the big ones on childbirth.

Baby Names

We decided on names early on, but Brett Younger, our pastor, gave us a few suggestions....We didn't consider "Brett" as a name.

Heartbeat

What you hear is the heartbeat from the Doppler probe.
It is about 156 beats per minute.

So far, the doctor says that Laura is 13 weeks and three days along.
Due date is October 5.

Laura says that when this picture was taken, the baby waved!
